Maria
Maria was blond and she had a nice figure. Many times this season I had been struggling with the proportions of arms and legs but this time I had it! When I work on a painting and I get the feeling that I am on to making something good then many times I get more concentrated and I work harder to make the success come true. This painting had the correct proportions but also the first layer had a nice soft tone. I had done nothing with the portrait but that did not matter, I am used to paint the face in a later stage. If I don’t do it too late then that is no problem at all.
When the first layer was finished Maria did not feel well and could not finish the session. She went home and she never came back.
Because I am so happy about this first layer of this painting and to celebrate the feeling of being on to something that could be successful in the future, I will keep the painting like this and share it with you.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden.
I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to
study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands
where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
