Painted a postcard 13 December 2018

On 13 December at the aquarelle club www.aquarelmere.nl I painted a postcard! It was Hilde suggesting I should paint this card. She had been to a flea market where she found a box of postcard pictures. There was a lot of images she did not like but this card was nice. Later she painted it and I think also her daughter painted it and then I could borrow the card and paint it. It was old, black and white and probably from eastern Europe but it did not say.

When painting this postcard, I tried my new stand, and it was great when sketching the image but when I wanted to use loads and loads of water it did not work so well anymore. The good thing with my stand is that it is on a table so I could remove my stand and work with the paper flat on the table.

Hilde took a photo of my painting to show her daughter. This was great fun borrowing each others motives. Perhaps Hilde will put up her version on her website?

The model session at Art4FunClub.nl yesterday was canceled. I was so much looking forward to painting Esmeralda, but that will be another time.
