JENS MALMGREN I create, that is my hobby.

Marijke 14 November 2018

Tonight I painted Marijke at Art4FunClub.eu by Karmen. It is a bit late, so this is going to be a short blog.  It started at 8 PM and ended at 10:30 PM with a short break in the middle.

It did not feel like I had a grip on the flow tonight, so that is why I decided to publish only one of the paintings I made tonight.

This picture is of the back of Marijke when she is sitting on a blue cushion. She had pale skin, and it occurred to me how accentuated that skin was so if I could capture that by mainly painting the outline then that would be nice. Like so I could add plenty of contrast, and that is always nice. If you don't know how to make art then start by adding contrast, that is my suggestion. Contrast never fails.

The outline is giving definition to a body, and many times this is something I forget. Here I tried more carefully to capture the roundings of the shape as I went by.

In two weeks I hope to paint at Art4FunClub.eu the next time.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.

Here on this site I let you see my creations.
