Tuberous Cranesbill

This is such a great little flower. I made the painting extremely quick, 20 or 30 minutes. Many times my art is improving by painting quick but there is a limit to the benefit and I feel that this painting is close to that edge. It is good to find out the limits of a method as well as its benefits. Flowers often have various patterns being repeated on several leaves and when painting a pattern to be repeated several times it is good to concentrate and take down the tempo. On the other hand this painting is fresh and fluid and it feels really great to make paintings like that when it works well.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
