Pumpkin on a stump

So far in my experiments with acrylic paint I had found out that I could use acrylic as a kind of aquarelle painting medium although it is gellier. Now it was time to try out using much less water. It was time to go opaque. I was able to capture the round shape of the pumpkin well. Also the stump is fine. There is something disturbing with the painting and I think it is the composition. The garden path behind the pumpkin forms a chimney or a rocket like shape. That is unfortunate. A pumpkin rocket ready for takeoff.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.

Here on this site I let you see my creations.
