White Mallow

Such a nice flower this is, almost transparent and white, extremely white. So an aquarellist doesn’t add white when painting white. Instead it is about painting the other colors and using the white of the paper for the white color. Now an aquarellist just starting with acrylic paint is clueless. I looked at my tube of white paint and wondered if I dared to use it. But I did not. Yet.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
