JENS MALMGREN I create, that is my hobby.

Anna Maria 16 April 2017

It is Sunday 16 of April 2017 and I am on my way to a model painting session in Amsterdam. Actually, when I write this I am already in Amsterdam. There was train track maintenance today so I could take the train from Almere to Weesp and from there a bus to Amsterdam.

Perhaps I had anticipated that it would take longer or I mistook the time one hour earlier but the result is that I cam to Amsterdam way too early. So I  decided to take a cup of coffee and do some blogging.

This week I made great progress in Fusion 360. I have been drawing on the rubber band toy car and I also worked on a YouTube stand for my mobile phone. The toy feels like a complex first object to print but the YouTube stand has the potential. DW called the YouTube stand ugly. I think it is clever and the puzzle aspect makes it complete.

It is the Easter today. Yesterday we went to the Singer Museum in Laren to see a photography exhibition of Desiree Dolron. It was nice but not awesome. We were standing in the museum shop and there they had candles of sheep and I said to my wife it would be nice to make the molds for things like that in the 3D printer. Then she said that molds for homemade soap would be much more interesting. When we got home I started working on the mold and in the evening I had finished the soap mold construction!

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.

Here on this site I let you see my creations.
