Roses
The velvet leaves of roses are so perfectly beautiful and so alluring to capture and yet so disappointing when most attempts are less appealing compared to the real thing. I am not a gardener; I am an artist and my approach to something beautiful is that I prefer to make reproduction that at least equally beautiful and preferably even more beautiful than the original. It is a tough challenge for roses. This is a search. My search. These paintings are made in aquarelle technique.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden.
I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to
study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands
where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
