Going Abstract

Some people really don’t like paintings too easy to “read”, they go for abstract paintings. I am still far away from abstract painting. If you make a scale with one end photo realistic images and on the other end abstract paintings then you find me nearer to the understandable imaging. On the other hand I don’t think it is useful to try to beat the performance of a camera or computer image processing with painted art. I usually say that if the art is supposed to be to exact then you can as well make a photo. It is much quicker. This painting is the result of an abstract painting theme evening at Aquarelmere. We brought stones with us. A still life was arranged with the stones. Then we painted this. Then from this we were encouraged to make the painting more abstract in subsequent layers of the painting. It was actually great fun!

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.

Here on this site I let you see my creations.
