Sunnerås

In 2007 I started to visit Sunnerås. Also this house has the red white color that I had been trying to paint already earlier. I made a series of paintings where I tried different methods. These two paintings were the best. The motive is painted from a photo and that photo was taken in the autumn so there are orange and red colors in the trees.

 

On one image I left out foliage on the left side of the house and emphasized the shadow behind the house while on the other I let light shine also behind the house. The tree to the left is interesting. On one painting it has sharp edges while on the other I painted it with wet on wet so that it would spread into the sky. The later is actually more realistic.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
