Bridge Trance

Using YouTube for publishing music is really cool but it takes some extra steps to make a music video. The first couple of pieces I published on YouTube worked really nice. If the video is not the important part of the publishing but just a way of getting the sounds on the Internet then after a while it is not worth the effort. I tried my songs on people and I noticed that some people never realized the pictures of the YouTube movie were just the secondary aspect of it. So from that aspect I made the decision to wait with making YouTube movies when also the pictures are well thought of.

I used VideoPad Video Editor. At no place I could see it was a trial so I had it installed and started to figure out how to work with it. It has some weird delay between sound and pictures. Oh well I coped with it. One day it revealed its true nature and gave me the option to purchase or quit.

I decided to quit.

Rather be fair to me upfront than sneaking in on false promises. My verdict is that I will have it uninstalled and not spend any money on this company.

There is another issue with making YouTube movies. Storage. When shooting movies the storage is eaten rather quickly. The real cost of making high quality YouTube movies is not to buy video editing software, instead it is to arrange fast and huge amounts of storage. That is what I need to do before I do any more movies. But not now.

And it would be nice with a light weight steady cam rig as well but that is just a small side note.

So the next best thing is to publish the sound as it is. I decided to check out sound cloud. It is founded by two Swedes so it has to be good.

With sound cloud you get into a community and I am excited about how that will work. At YouTube you don’t get too many comments… Anymore. Five years ago YouTube was a place where people left comments but these days one has to have to publish really hot stuff before the comments arrives. I suppose.

The original idea was to publish this tune with the movie of driving over the Öresundsbron from Denmark to Sweden so I decided on the name Bridge-Trance. Now the movie has to wait but the name remains. So here it is:

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.

Here on this site I let you see my creations.
